Another frontend blog is born

Introduction and reasons to create personal blog about frontend development.

Who is this?

I am a frontend developer from Russia living and working in Kyoto, Japan. As of today, I am working in a small Japanese webdev and design company. My career journey in a world of programming and web development started a few years ago. I played with programming languages before, but until two years ago never thought of it as a career, thinking that I am probably not good enough for it. My educational background has little to do with web development and I learned coding mostly by myself using free and paid resources.

Personally I am more interested in modern frameworks, CSS, UI/UX and so on, but as I'm working in a small Japanese company I have to deal with all kinds of technologies including e-commerce packages and backend stack (although I cannot say that I am proficient in those).

What is this?

This is my personal playground where I want to test and write about things I learn and work with. This website is built with Nuxt. I tried to keep it as simple as possible: just a Home page and the list of articles. However, I hope to add other necessary features such as pagination as well as some fun ones (such as dark mode, etc.)

Why is this?

Will you find some new information here? Probably not at the moment. I created this website not as the source of information but as the place where I can play with and test different things. As I am still not a very experienced developer a lot of information may seem obvious to many of you.

I thought about creating a blog for some time, but something always stopped me. Either I was not nearly experienced or smart enough to do that or what new can I say about web development (Probably a lot of people have the same way of thinking). But after reading this css-tricks article about making a personal website I decided to create this one.

Lastly, if my style of writing seems to be a little stiff it's because it is. I'm not comfortable with this particular media despite surviving graduate school and writing a whole thesis in English (it was about online education). May this little project help me not only with programming and becoming a better developer but also with my writing and communication skills.
